The Terreal roofing tile warranty

We guarantee, on the day of delivery, compliance of the goods with NF EN standards for standardised products or compliance with the requirements imposed by the applicable Technical Appraisal (ATec)/Technical Application Document (DTA).

In addition, all Terreal products are guaranteed under legal conditions, namely:

• guarantee of compliance, and  
• guarantee against hidden defects of the item sold, in accordance with Articles 1642 et seq. of the French Civil Code.

Notwithstanding these provisions, some of the products mentioned below benefit from commercial guarantees.

Terreal roofing tiles and fittings

In accordance with the specific provisions of the NF EN standards, they come with a 30-year frost guarantee, effective from the date of delivery.

In order for the warranty to be valid, the following conditions must be met:

• implementation, use and maintenance of the products in accordance with the standards defined in the DTU (Document Technique Unifié — Technical harmonisation document) published by AFNOR (Association Française de Normalisation — French national organisation for standardisation) in force on the day of installation, or in accordance with the rules of use formulated by the applicable Technical Appraisal (ATec) published by the CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment — Scientific and technical centre for building) or the applicable Technical Application Document (DTA), or the installation specifications (installation guide) published by Terreal, or good trade practice in the absence of DTU/ATec/DTA,
• simultaneous use on a given roof pitch of flat square roofing tiles and fittings marketed by Terreal, such as:

- Terreal air discharge or ventilating tiles (ventilation tiles, roofing tile with flue hole, rooflights),

- finishing fittings: end caps, pediments, joints, edge doubles or ½ roofing tiles, adjustment roofing tiles,

- ridge hip tile fittings (ridge tiles, small ridge tiles, hip tiles).

The warranty covers the repair or, if necessary, the replacement of the goods recognised by Terreal to be non-compliant, with an identical or equivalent product, all other costs excluded. Terreal's involvement under the commercial warranty will remain limited to the amount (excl. tax) of the invoice paid by the customer in relation to this warranty claim.
