Habitat Social Positif (HSP) is a pioneering project which aims to build the first social housing in France to receive "Bepos Effinergie 2013" certification. The project is a partnership between the town of Castelnaudary, Habitat Audois, Terreal and the Lycée Andréossy.
HSP shows that it is already possible today to use locally made, sustainable materials to build homes that consume less energy than they produce, at a reasonable cost.
Let since late 2013, the homes form the basis of an interactive project in which their real-life performance will be monitored so that the energy controls can be refined in collaboration with the tenants.
For over 150 years, Terreal is a key player of clay building materials. Based on this unique experience, our group creates innovative solutions for the building envelope, through three activities : roofing, structure, cladding-decoration. Terreal has annual sales of approximately €336 million and nearly 2,250 employees around the world.
