How the HSP houses perform
HSP: building the future today
The design features of the Habitat Social Positif (Project HSP) stem from the shared wish of the town of Castelnaudary, Habitat Audois and the TERREAL Group, as a building envelope specialist, to build homes that combine year-round comfort with energy consumption significantly below that required under RT2012 thermal performance rules, at the same time as offering full access to persons with restricted mobility and keeping construction costs well within reasonable bounds.
This ambitious experiment is a trailblazer for the forthcoming RT2020 rules, which will set comfort and performance standards for new "positive energy" homes, i.e. homes that use less energy than they produce.
For over 150 years, TERREAL is a key player of clay building materials. Based on this unique experience, our group creates innovative solutions for the building envelope, through four activities : roofing, structure, cladding-decoration, solar. Terreal has annual sales of approximately €376 million (€414 million pro forma of the acquisition of GSE Intégration) and more than 2,200 employees around the world.
