Situated 150 km south-west of Roumazières and approximately an hour from Bordeaux, the Montpon tile plant is located at Le Toupinier, where bricks and tiles have been made from the local clay for centuries.

The plant has been in existence since the 19th century and was originally a brickworks.

Converted to tile making from the 1960s onwards, Montpon now specialises in the manufacturing of Héritage, Bocage and Périgord plain tiles and their fittings.
