Founded in 1888, Ludowici was born of a long tradition of Italian tile-making craftsmanship. The New Lexington, Ohio, based subsidiary is located at a source of very high quality clay. Firing this clay at high temperatures (1150°C) produces tiles of exceptional quality with extremely low moisture absorption of less than 1%.

Ludowici products combine up-to-the-minute techniques with the artistic flair of the traditional craftsman, creating top-of-the-range products for renowned architects and homeowners for whom nothing but the best will do. Its European-inspired tiles are used in the construction and renovation of luxury homes and prestige buildings such as universities, churches and city halls.
