Philippe Hornoy, the project architect:
“On this kind of project we try to use anodised aluminium casing on the door openings. This guarantees that the wood elements, which are always white, and the cladding, whatever material is used, work well together. This gives a stylish appearance, particularly here with Zéphir Evolution cladding. We used it in two discretely interacting tones, and combined the smooth skin and the wavy finish, which was new, and which in my view reinforces the residential character of the building.
The façade contains vertical aluminium elements, a little like the protective strips along car bodies, which help towards the elegance we were looking for in the new building envelope.

Rossignol Residence
The Rossignol residence, contains 60 flats. Its renovated façades combine elements of light grey fibre cement cladding and others made of terracotta with Zéphir Évolution cladding. The south-facing façades have more uneven features and a large number of loggias have frosted glass parapets to preserve the occupants’ privacy. On these façades and on the gables, terracotta is predominant. At the request of the local authorities we kept the colour light, while the proportions are reversed on the north-facing façade.
