An architectural challenge met by the architectural agency ROCHETEAU-SAILLARD, thanks to the unprecedented use of Autant XL ceramic sunscreens in this installation as cladding for all façades. The originality of this project, marked by a strong creative ambition, is also expressed through the subtle use of colour. No less than eight shades of blue of varying strength have thus been selected for the ceramic sunscreens. Façade colours are in combined shades in accordance with the specific aims of the careful staging;
For the installation of the sunscreens, the TERREAL teams made specific adaptations to their standard mounting system. There are two reasons for this: the vertical installation and the mounting, not onto a concrete wall in front of openings as usual, but onto a metal armature which entails an additional structural load.
In order to facilitate their installation on-site, TERREAL has pre-assembled all components (spring, interior bar, attachment system at both ends) making the delivered products ready-for-installation. That is not all: the kits were loaded onto pallets in a colour sequence predefined by the architect. Innovation? A high level of comfort for the installers... and an end finish meeting the expectations of all stakeholders in this great project.
Pre-assembly: according to Bernard Poupard,
Director of the Grands Travaux Axima agency
“Thanks to the work carried out upstream by TERREAL, who organised and numbered the parts, we have saved on time and labour costs. The pallets were supplied at the foot of the buildings and once the armature was installed all that remained was to take up the sunscreens one after the other and attach them. Consequently, there was another not-inconsiderable advantage: this allowed us to avoid making errors and combining colours in an unattractive manner!“
