Terreal architecture

Architecture & design

Sous-titre
Terracotta is an infinite playground for the imagination. This chameleon material plays with shapes, sizes, colours and mischievously challenges the eye of whoever contemplates it. Its materiality, its roughness, its texture both raw and full of nobility serve architectural projects of all kinds. A design and architectural material at the service of the imagination.

When preparing your site, you should prepare your tiles as close as possible to the chosen proportions and then lay them randomly on the roof. It is always more practical to make up packs of 10 or 12 tiles before installing them on the roof, respecting the proportions defined at the start. While the tiles are being laid, it is important to check the evenness of the mix regularly, on average every 10 m², by taking a step back.

Clay products can be customised in many different ways: the various product ranges offer standard mass colours as well as different glaze and slip options. On special request, we can develop glaze colours based on RAL codes. The technical department of the facade, in conjunction with the factory laboratory, carries out this feasibility study.

The main differences between terracotta and ceramics are the raw materials used in their manufacture and the firing process. The two processes therefore lead to different mechanical characteristics when fired.

It is possible to request certain product samples in order to analyse their texture and appearance. To do this, please use the contact form and provide as much information as possible about your project so that our teams can best guide you.
