Terreal sponsors the association Le Printemps de Septembre

In 2021, TERREAL is sponsoring the association "Le Printemps de Septembre" to build an ephemeral brick pavilion at the Institut Supérieur des Arts et Design de Toulouse for the 30th edition of the "Le Printemps de Septembre" festival in Toulouse. With a donation of more than 2,300 bricks, TERREAL wished to support cultural and artistic initiatives as well as to participate in this educational project where specialised students learned how to build the structure. After the event, the bricks were collected by training centres in order to give them a second educational life.

Earth & Art: an artistic residency in a factory

For several years, TERREAL has been pursuing a policy of sponsorship directly linked to our know-how, terracotta, to the Habitat and to the preservation of heritage. These sponsorships can take different forms. We have indeed renewed our support for associations for the preservation of heritage and rurality. We donate products to training and apprenticeship centres, artists' collectives and architectural reflection workshops. To continue this approach, we have decided to go further and involve our employees by welcoming a visual artist, Blandine Brière, for a 7-month artistic residency in one of our factories, the Bavent tile factory.

TERREAL ambassador for the city of Albi

In 2016, TERREAL became one of the ambassadors of Albi, the Episcopal City. Our company joins a network of players involved in promoting the attractiveness of the Albi area. This partnership illustrates the links we have forged with the city of Albi, particularly through our commitment to the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines d'Albi. Laurent Musy, the group's CEO, was the patron of the school's 2016 class. TERREAL also conducts research projects in partnership with the RAPSODEE laboratory of the Ecole des Mines.

Abbaye of Lagrasse

In the Aude, home to four of the Group's operating sites, two quarries and our R&D centre, we donated all the replacement roof tiles for the Abbaye de Lagrasse for free.

Sponsoring conservation of the château of La Salvetat Saint-Gilles

In 2019 and 2020, TERREAL, a sponsor of the Fondation du Patrimoine, donated 630m2 of roofing for the conservation of the château of La Salvetat Saint-Gilles, an emblem of the Toulouse region. The medieval château of La Salvetat Saint-Gilles, located 16km from Toulouse, had been deteriorating for decades. Acquired by the town hall for a symbolic 1 euro in December 2016, the château was in a state of ruin, with the roof in particular threatening to collapse due to severe storms. Emblematic of the Toulouse region, this site is one of the 270 projects selected in 2018 for the heritage lottery run by the Stéphane Bern Heritage Mission.

Créé pour promouvoir et valoriser la sauvegarde de l’héritage architectural français, le concours terroirs de Terreal met à l’honneur des professionnels de la couverture et leurs réalisations. Set up to promote and support the safeguarding of French architectural heritage, Terreal's local contests recognise roofing professionals and their achievements. Judged by a panel of heritage professionals and based on selection criteria including technicality, aesthetics and respect for local architectural heritage, the Terreal local awards are part of a constant desire to promote the renovation work undertaken on old roofs in our regions and the professionals who do this.
