The RE2020 regulations came into force at the beginning of 2022. They have been put in place to gradually replace RT2012 by setting more ambitious targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from new public and residential buildings, during their construction as well as their use. The Piterak Slim range of clay cladding products can be installed vertically using the V-Clip© process. The V-Clip© system is a fastening system consisting of a high performance steel wire clip that snaps onto a horizontal rail. It allows vertical fixing even on curved surfaces. Technical notice for vertical installation n°2 / 13-1542*V2.

As the bricks and slabs are traditional processes, they do not have a Technical Notice but are covered by the : DTU 20.1 "Small masonry works - walls and partitions" for composite walls (single facing) and double walls (facing with insulation) for bricks and DTU 52.2 "Glued laying of ceramic and similar coverings". The façade technical department can assist you with any questions you may have about the installation of these products.

The clay cladding products of the Piterak Slim range under Technical Notice n° 2.2/13-1584_V2 have a field of use that accepts horizontal installation on the underside, but also vertical installation thanks to the V-Clip© process under Technical Notice n°2 / 13-1542*V2 on flat and horizontal concrete supports, new or already in service, inaccessible (more than 3 m from the ground), and without a playground nearby, and in accordance with the specific provisions indicated in the Technical Notice of the product.

As terracotta is a non-combustible material, its fire resistance is classified A1. For certain uses, such as public buildings. (ERP) or a residential building subject to fire regulations, the recommendations described in IT249 must be respected.

In order to ensure sufficient ventilation in the air space between the clay cladding and the insulation, a ventilated air space of at least 20mm is required.
